Oregon Bar Reports & Bar Crossing Conditions
Cross the bar with confidence. Oregon Angler blends official USCG and NWS restrictions with live wind and wave data to give every Oregon coastal bar a real-time safe / caution / hazardous status.
Every Oregon coastal bar
Columbia River (Astoria), Nehalem, Tillamook, Depoe Bay, Yaquina Bay (Newport), Siuslaw (Florence), Umpqua (Winchester Bay), Coos Bay (Charleston), Coquille (Bandon), Rogue River (Gold Beach) and Chetco (Brookings) — each with its own live bar report.
How the status works
We combine current bar restrictions from the U.S. Coast Guard with real-time swell period, wave height and wind from NWS marine zones and NDBC buoys to flag when a bar is dangerous to cross.
Cross safe
Always confirm on VHF Channel 16 and check the USCG restriction before you cross. Time your run to the slack-high tide window shown in the app.
